By Road from Kampala
The drive from Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National Park takes 5–6 hours via Mbarara and Kasese. The road is paved for most of the route. Kazinga Wilderness Safari Camp is 1km off the Kasese-Mbarara road at Katunguru Bridge—accessible by ordinary sedan in dry conditions. A 4×4 is recommended for the final approach during heavy rains.
By Air
Charter flights from Entebbe to Kasese Airstrip take approximately 1 hour. From Kasese, the camp is a 45-minute drive. Scheduled charters are available through several operators. Fly-in is the better choice for time-poor travelers or those combining Queen Elizabeth with Bwindi or Kibale.
Hybrid Approach
Many travelers now drive one leg and fly the other to balance cost and time . For example, drive from Kampala to Queen Elizabeth, then fly from Kasese to Entebbe or to Bwindi.
Transfers from the Camp
Kazinga Wilderness Safari Camp can arrange airport transfers and game drive vehicles. Guests arriving by road should confirm the final approach conditions with the camp during the rainy season.
