Queen Elizabeth offers hippos (Kazinga Channel), tree-climbing lions (Ishasha), and elephants. Murchison offers the Nile, the falls themselves, and strong lion and elephant populations. Queen Elizabeth’s channel is the better hippo experience. Murchison’s Nile boat cruise is the better river experience.

Queen Elizabeth: savannah, crater lakes, channel, and forest. Murchison: Nile River, dramatic falls, and borassus palm savannah. Both are scenic in different ways.
Crowds and Vibe
Queen Elizabeth is the more visited park, but still uncrowded by East African standards. Murchison has fewer visitors. For solitude, Murchison wins. For variety of experiences in one park, Queen Elizabeth wins.
Boat Cruises
Kazinga Channel: hippos, birds, and a 32km waterway. Murchison: Nile River, falls views, and hippos. Both are excellent. The Kazinga cruise is more focused on wildlife density; the Murchison cruise is more about the river experience.
